It was lost, but now it's found
Have you ever lost anything that was truly of value to you? Maybe something that to anyone else would appear worthless? How did you feel searching for it? Desperate? Did you experience reckless abandon in your search? Did you feel hopeless when you thought you'd never see it again? Better yet, how did you feel when you found it? Elated, overjoyed, like all things in the world were finally right again?
In my spare time I'm working on the series Story Tellers that is set to begin on the 19th of March it's about the Parables. I'd like to include YOUR STORY about lost and found, or lost and never found, in one of the talks. Please send me the story that really hits home for you. I'm sure you have one, if you're willing to share. It would mean a lot to me, and hopefully to everyone else. You can send an email, or comment right here. Oh, and please tell me if I can use your name.

I hadn't responded to this yet because I wasn't really sure what Dale wanted so we were talking last night and I was like "I don't get it" and Dale said "Have you ever lost anything?" I of course said "YES!" and then he asked, "How did it make you feel?" and "How did you feel when you found it?" so by him saying the words instead of reading them I was like, yeah - I lost Sweet Pea (our dog) once or should I say, Dale's friend, our roommate at the time, borrowed her! UGH! I FREAKED OUT!!!! I was crying and yelling outside looking for her not knowing how she could have gotten out. I was about to start knocking on people's doors when "the friend" pulls up and I see him put her on the ground - I was relieved and angry but mostly relieved! I also lost Dale's son, Lane, when he was little, like 5 or 6 in Sears. We were clothes shopping and I didn't see him wander off to the video game that they had set up for kids that puts his head level too low for me to see beyond the racks of clothes. I'm yelling for him and come to find out he is answering me in a low tone "yes" but of course I can't hear him. Elissa's just glaring at me (I'm still trying to win her over but I'm also a very new step mom) and she says - "My mom would never loose him" and I'm like "I know but he's not lost we just haven't found him yet" trying to keep my cool. So we walk each row and there he is. Totally content. So I tell him it's time to go and that we were looking for him and couldn't hear him answer and next time to tell me where he's going before he goes. :) Crisis averted. I WAS SO RELIEVED!!! I don't think you know how much people or things matter to you until there's a possibility for them to be gone or they are gone. Well, there's my story.
