Connection Church of San Luis Obispo, CA is a liberal, faith based Christian church specializing in ministries relating to college students. We are a descendant of New Life Center in Bakersfield and a Four Square affiliate. ( See the Links section. ) Of course, we not only welcome, but require people of all ages to provide a balanced sense of community. We're a small church with a big heart. Services are held during the school year at the Claiborne's—7:00 PM Sunday. ( See the Welcome and Map & Schedule pages for more information. ) We'd love to meet and worship with you.

The classic line in my youth was "Lie down, I think I love you." Ah, the 60s. Lately, I heard one of those same people say, "If you cook me dinner, I'll cook you breakfast." But, the more I think about it, the more I think they were really just talking about food.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Amie and I had to sneak around for so many years to avoid gossip in the small community we came from 15 years ago that I think we both still feel a little uncomfortable in groups. I appeared to have so little to do with women during those years that many people thought I was gay.

Nervous.

Look deeply in their eyes and stutter.

I think that kissing on the first date is not a good idea if it's between two people who just met each other. Sometimes, however, the first date represents the first chance two people have had to be alone together. In that case, the first kiss may have been a long time coming. I absolutely believe in romance. When I see a young couple sneaking a kiss in the café instead of checking for vacancies at a Motel, my heart melts.
