Connection Church of San Luis Obispo, CA is a liberal, faith based Christian church specializing in ministries relating to college students. We are a descendant of New Life Center in Bakersfield and a Four Square affiliate. ( See the Links section. ) Of course, we not only welcome, but require people of all ages to provide a balanced sense of community. We're a small church with a big heart. Services are held during the school year at the Claiborne's—7:00 PM Sunday. ( See the Welcome and Map & Schedule pages for more information. ) We'd love to meet and worship with you.

Farmers Market

Sparkletts ManThis is a picture of the Sparkletts Man. He will not be at the Farmers Market this week — well, not that we know of — but we will. We're going to give out 400 bottles of water, if everything works out, some of them Sparkletts, all of them with invitations attached for our Easter service and planned BBQ the following week. If the weather continues like it has, there might be a few bottles of ice handed out. At least our heart's in the right place. We'd love you to drop by and visit. Maybe, hand out a few bottles and feel warm inside. Sort of a mid-week smilefest. We've done it before (in warmer weather, of course) and had nothing but fun. Remember, this Thursday 6-9, Higuera Street. Just follow the smoke. We can take turns sneeking out for tri-tip sandwiches.

I just thought I would mention how much fun we had passing out cards and water bottles last week, and how fast the bottles evaporated, despite the cold weather. We even had some people come to argue with us who left with smiles on their faces. As it turned out, we weren't the enemy they thought we were. So, jump in and be part of what's happening next time. It may end up being a memory you cherish.
